CHEAP JEWELLERY.

(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) CKBISTCHUK.CH, this day. Towards the end of November a Ohristchurch woman sent through the post office a sum of money to a London firm for some articles of jewellery. The firm in question have on more than one ' occasion circularised New Zealand, quoting very tempting prices. T&e | money was acknowledged by the London postal authorities as having been received on January 12, and the firm's receipt for the money was given to a suburban post office at which, it was payable on January 17. The Christelrareh purchas- j er is now -wondering why. no goods have come to hand. She las had no advice, of any kind from. the firm, who have had ample time to fulfil the order. Inquiries have been made, but without j avail, and the High fcommieaioner has now been communicated with; In..New.
