MELBOURNE POLICE SCANDALS.

(Received 10 ajm.) MELBOURNE, this day. The Police Commission, which, lias been dragging along wearily, closes to-day. It has been responsible for the washing of much dirty linen between the officers and aien. One witness testified that he made in arrest for sly grog-selling, but that the prisoner was released at the police station. He was afterwards informed by the inspector that it would be better for him not to see too muelu and that he vv'ould then get on. Witness found this to be good advice.
