SECONDARY SCHOOLS' SHOOTING COMPETITION.
The annual match in this competition was fired during the last week In November. Nine teams competed. The Southland High school -was prevented from taking part bj the stormy weather. The conditions were seven shots, and a compulsory sigh ter at 200, 300 and 500 yards, under the rules of the N.Z. Defence forces. _tifl_ Association. The following is the result:—. The highest .individual' scorer was Corp. N: TroloVe, .of Wellington .College: *rit_ 78. A - strong, wind interfered with most of , the shooting. The Wellington College boys shot very, consistently. The Anckland School lost first place by falling off at 600 yards. Rangiora occupied - third. position, beating the previbes winners, Otago and Wanganul.
