PASTORALISTS.

SYDNEY, this day. . At the Lands Commission the majority; of pastoralist witnesses held that the pastoral industry was a hazardous undertaking, owing to droughts and heavy losses. The central divisions of the lands were not fit for settlement without expensive improvements, which were outside the means of small settlers.
INTER-COLONIAL CRICKET.

Playing against New South Wales at Sydney, Queensland in the fir_t innings made 192 (Crouch 36, Carew 43) and New South Wales lost three wickets for 66. The New South Wales secdnd eleven is playing Queensland.
ADELAIDE, December 15. South Australia, playing New South Wales, has lost'nine wickets for 325 (Clem. Hfli 146, Pellew 72, Gehrs 35).
