FIRE AT HELENSVILLE.

HOTEL AND TWO SHOPS DESTROYED. (By Telegrapn.—Own Cerrespcntfent.l HELENSVILLE, this day. On Saturday night at 12.30 a disastrous fire broke out in Stewart Bros.' baker's shop. It spread to the buildings adjoining, and swept the whole block. Stewart's baker's shop, Cullen's (bootmaker) shop, and Smith's Terminus Hotel were entirely demolished. The damage is estimated at nearly £3000. The Terminus Hotel building is insured with the New Zealand Company for £700, which corporation is covered by reinsurances to the value of £300. The contents of the hotel are stated to be insured in the Sun Office. The National Office is advised that Mr. J. F. Lambert's blacksmith's shop was slightly damaged by the fire. This building is insured with the National Office for £100. It is also stated that a shop occupied by MrOlive has been damaged, but to what extent is not known in Auckland.
