The Hospital authorities report that William Leutfer, Messrs Winstone and Co.'s carter,-who was thrown on to his head in ,Grey-street- on Saturday morning and stunned, is progressing favourably towards recovery. The second anniversary of the Mt. Roskill Baptist Sunday-school Was celebrated yesterday, when, notwithstanding the inclemency of the weather, good congregations assembled. The services were conducted in the morning by the Rev. R; L. Walker.) in the afternoon by Rev. T. W .Newbold, and in the evening by the pastor, Rev. E. A. Kirwoofi. The church was crowded in the evening, every available seat being occupied. A feature of the services was the singing of the Sunday-school children, assisted by the church choir, under, the ..conductofship of Mr R. S. ALol. Mr Burrtiws presided at the organ, and Miss Douglas at the piano. The church was very' tastefully decorated, with festoons of lycopodiuui and with vases of lillies, camellias and Bromjptoh stock. The. celebration will be continued and bbfacluded on Tuesday evening with a public tea at 6.30 and a public meeting at 7.30, Tvheh addresses witil be giyen by Rev. E. Warburibn, Mrj.G/.M; Galder; President <>f the Auckland Sundayschool Unidn, and the Rev. E. A: Kirwood. Prises will be presented and several wf the anniversary Bymiis Will fae , sung by the cbildrn.
