AMERICAN COTTON JUGGLE.
(Received 5.33 a.m.) NEW YORK, August 28. Edwin Holmes has been indicted on a charge of defrauding the Washington Government oy juggling with the cotton market. [Holmes, an official iv the Government Statistical Department, is alleged to have signalled the results of the returns oi the cotton c-rop to an accomplice, who subsequently used them to Holmes' advantage.]
