A special general meeting of members of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce J was held at the rooms of the Chamber this afternoon, the president (Mr A. B. Roberton) being in the chair. There was a fair at'endanee of members. The : special b-usiness was consideration of the amended constitution and rules as i submitted by the committee appointed I for the purpose. Several amendments i affecting the reading, but not the prinj cipls, of the rules, were made, and the ] rules then adopted.
