THE GARBAGE TIP.
A SATISFACTORY SITE CHOSKN.
It is satisfactory to learn that the Mayor (the Hon. E. Mitchelson) with the assistance of the city engineer (Mr A. Wrigg) succeeded in obtaining a place for the deposit of city refuse, pending the completion of tie destructor. The site chosen is one in the vicmit-f of the oid mill (Motion's) beyond Cox's Creek, on the shore of the harbour, which had previously been used as a dumping ground for the same purpose. It is believed that the destructor will be in working order within two months. No further rubbish will be deposited either in Mechanics' .Bay or Grafton-road.
