Then the youn; lady acted on an impulse. She produce her sketch-book and deliberately begai sketching the delighted Smirker. "Very flattering of you, miss," sail he. '"Not At all!" retorted the fair artist "I want your face •aa a model for ; gargoyle 1" fcb .
