The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., report that at the Durham Yards, horses were brought forward in increased numbers, a drait of 18 unbroken diaughts from the North excited keen competition. Heavy draughts sold at from £30 to £47 10/ for an unbroken heavy draught colt from Ake Ake swamp, Waiuku; medium ditto, £10 10/ to £35; hacks, £8 10/ to £12. At the Newmarket Yards dairy and store cattle were penned in usual numbers. There was a full supply of beef, some of the quality, although not being heavy weights, was excellent. Ox bee fsokl up to 23/ per lOOlbs; cows, 16/ to 20/; steers sold at fiom £5 10/ to £10 17/6; cows, £3 15/ to £8 17/6; dairy cows sold at from £4 10/ to £9 15/; calves, 17/ to £1 11/; empty cows, £2 3/ to £3 14/. Wethers sold at from 15/9 to £1 2/6; ewes, 13/6 to £L Lambs, in full suply, sold well at 8/6 to 16/9; shorn ditto, 11/ to 12/6. Pigs in full supply.
