NEW CARTING ARRANGEMENTS. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, this day. It has been decided by the Railway Department to discontinue the practice hitherto in operation in the delivery of goods at Auckland after May 1. Consignees will be able to cart home goods after that date. The delivery of perishable goods and parcels will be let by contract as hitherto, but the delivery charge on other goods will cease at the end of next month. The tender of Mr Edgeeumbe has been accepted for the Auckland Railway bookstall. Mr Paull for Frankton, and Mr Gardner for Rotorua.
