Business was not so good on the Exchange to-day, with the exception that May Queen Extended shares showed a further advance in price, being sold at 1/8 and 1/9, with buyers left offering the latter price. Eclipse shares changed hands at 1/6 and 1/7, and Coronations at 1/, while 3/ wa« again paid for contributing Golden Belts. Waiotahi shares were easier this morning being offered at 147/0, but the buying quotation was 140/. Waihi shares were still wanted at 136/, and Grand Junctions at 77/6. My visit to the Waiotahi mine disclosed the fact that the gold hag been traced Bft to the westward point where it -was first found. This is a most promising feature, and leads to the belief that the gold, if not following the face, is further back in the drive and that is seaward of where the find was discovered. The hangingwall is well defined, but it would be better were the country rock lying on the reef, and not the pug formation. As far aa the reef has been stripped, this pug lies on it. What effect it may have on the lode is difficult to say, but it may not continue for long because it is not with the reef where first met with in the crosscut. The mineral band can now be plainly traced for 30ft, and in some pltices the root ore shows gold. Every foot of the reef going westward is carrying minerals and gold. This is of manifest advantage, as it proves the gold is not in a email patch, but probably a well denned run, already proved 4to be 30ft in length. I saw mineral' ore broken out of the floor, and saw it BIT overhead. Altogether the prospects are much brighter than when I saw the mine a few days ago. HARBOUR VIEW.
