TALISMAN CONSOLIDATED.
The following cable was sent to the Talisman Consolidated, Ltd., London, on the 17t_ inst:—"No. 8 level, south 1026 ft; No. 4-winze, 171 ft; average value of assays, £3 14/. Driving north from 43ft; reef Wider than drive; average value of assays, £2 3/. Driving south from winze, 60ft; average value of assays, £5 ii/. Croe%-cut from No. 10 level south, 24ft; reef is 16ft wide; average value of assays, 16/. Driving south from crosscut reef is wider than drive; average value of assays, £3 5/. At ,28ft a fault has come in; stripping south of crosscut to fault, average value Of assays 38/—stopped until connection will be made with No. 4 winze. Driving north from crosscut 47ft; reef wider than drive; average value of assays, £2 4/. No. 11. level, 313 ft; average value of assays, 9/; cutting out cistern and chamber in shaft."
