THE WAIHI EXTENDED FATALITY.
(By Telegraph.—Own correspondent.) WAIHI, thi3 day. At the inquest to-day into the Waihi Extended fatal accident the jury, after some consideration, returned the following verdict: "That the death of Walter H. Breslin occurred through falling Into a truck through the hopper on the 500 feet chamber of No. 2 level, and fracturing the base of his 'skull; and that death was accidental." A rider was added as follows: "That the Waihi Extended G.M. Company should provide a more efficient system of signalling; that both chambermen and bracemen should be employed by the company, and not by the contractors; that the company make it compulsory that the miners use the safe Bide of the chamber for getting in and out of the cake or bucket,"
