WAIHI NEWS.
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WAIHI. this dayThe half-yearly meeting of the WaiM Miners' Union was held in the Union Hall on Saturday. Mr J. Newth, the president was in the chair. There was a good attendance of members. The secretary s report was adopted. The balance-sheet showed that the Union was in a sound financial position. It was resolved to push on the completion of the new hatt in Main-street without delay. It was also decided to. arrange for a sports union day on the first Monday in March, and a strong committee was appointed.
