SHOCKING MINING DISASTER.
Many Killed and Injured. LONDON, January 17. A serious accident has happened at a colliery at St. Helens, in Lancashire. Through some act of neglect on the pert of the man in charge of the winding Par, the cage fell to the bottom of the "art, a distance of 1700 feet. Hre men were killed and sixteen aerify injured in the accident.
