FRENCH GOVERNMENT CRISIS.
Resignation Expected. PARIS, January 15. The Government have averted defeat on a vote of confidence by only a very narrow majority, the voting being 289 to 279. During the debate the Minister for War (M. Berteaux) announced that the: Government had abandoned the system of secret political reports in respect to officers in the army. The resignation of the Cabinet is expected to-morrow.
