The movement -will start in Moscow, thence being carried to Warsaw, to Kief, and finally to St. Petersburg. A manifesto which is signed by 117 literary, political and scientific Russians, and which has been published at Stuttgart and Zurich, describes in strong terms the cruel punishment of female students and other girls with the knout, and despite the fact that they were not connected with the recent popular demonstrations. ; MANIFESTO BY HOLY SYNOD.
