To-morrow evening the Navy League celebrate the anniversary of the glorious victory at Trafalgar with a special concert in His Majesty's Theatre, and a good assemblage of local talent has been secured. The pel-formers include Messrs. ■V. Atkinson. C. Warren, W. Whyte, J. AVhelan, A. Howe, T. W. Allen, and J. Ryan, Miss Maude Tobias. Mrs. J. Watson Baxter, and some glee parties. The concert, is maritime in natme, nearly all the items being sea songs. Messrs. Samuel Vaile and Sons hold their usual auction sale to-morrow, when they will offer two fine allotments at topof College Hill, a shop at Otahuhu, and a farm at the Wade. A somewhat serious accident happened to a cyclist named J. McGregor, of Mount Roskill, in Symonds-street, near Kyber Pass, this afternoon. He was riding at a-fair-pace when he ran on to some loose metal, when his machine, swerved, and before he could recover control it collided with one of the tram-way poles. McGregor was thrown over the handle bar and struck the pole -with his head. He was picked up in a semi-conscious state by bystanders. Dr. H. Coom made an examination of his injuries, and found that lie has sustained scalp and facial wounds, and was bleeding from the ear, the latter being considered the most serious. Dr. Coom ordered the man's removal to the hospital. The bicycle appeared to be none the worse for the accident. The party of Aucklanders who spent three days in the Northern Wairoa district at the invitation of the Northern Union Steamship Company, returned to town last night by special train, arriving _at 10.45.
