YESTERDAY. (Before Mr Kettle, S.M.) Serious Charge Dismissed.—The case' against Wm. Alfred Purcell, who was charged .with indecent assault, was continued. Mr Martin submitted that from the evidence adduced there was no case. The magistrate agreed that the accused had not intended to commit any indecent act, and on the evidence brought forward he could not forward the case to the Supreme Court.- The information was accordingly dismissed. Committed for Trial.—A German youth named Augustave Williams pleaded not guilty, and was committed for trial, on ■charges of breaking and entering the factory of Trenwithßros., stealing a pair of boots, and £9 in cash; breaking and - entering the factory of Jaffrey and Coe,"Alexandra-street, and stealing three keys and one mackintosh.
