HAMILTON NOTES.
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, this day. Hamilton Borough. Council last night decided to adhere to a 2Jd. rate on unimproved values. This has caused indignation amongst property owners in Main-etreet. One hotel will have to pay £ 103 a year rates, and other properties proportional ely high. A special meeting A\ill he held to consider whether steps shall be taken to raise £5000 from outside sources for drainage, a loan having been refused by the Government.
