Heavy draughts and good ylongrh horses are scarce nnd wanted. We quote: Heavy draughts from £2(i 10/ to £3S: medium rlo.. £19 15/ to £2U 10': light harness do.. £12 10/ to £18 15/: hacks. £6 10/ to £2:1 At the Newmarket Yards, dairy and store stock were yarded in usual uombers, nnd ecld at lare rate?. There was a full supply of beef, and although no Heavy weights were yarded, the quality throughout was good. Ox beef sold up to 24/ per 1001b; cows, 19/ to 22/. Steers sold at from £6 5/ to £10 7/6: rows, £4 15/ to £7 17/G; dairy cows sold at from £5 5/ to £8: empty ditto, £2 10/ to £4 2/; calves. £1 17/ to £2 13/. Sheep were yarded in scarcely average numbers at Newmarket, and sold at advanced rates. We quote: Wethers at from 14/6 to £1 5/3; ewes, 12/9 to £1 0/3; hoggets. 10/6 to 16/9. The advertised ewes and lambs sold at 12/ each. Figs: Scarce. Porkers sold at from 17/6 to £2 8/; weaners, 10/6 to 17/. We offered an average catalogue of hides, skins, tallow, etc.. on Tuesday. Hides: Market firm.
