The total amount of money taken afi the British football match on Saturday was £1368. It is impossible to get the exact attendance, but it as estimated there were from between eighteen and twenty thousand people present. A meeting of the creditors of F. S. M. Scan, bricklayer, Kingsland, a bankrupt, was to have been held to-day, but it lapsed for want of a quorum. In celebration of the seventy-fourth birthday of Ilis Apostolic Majesty the Emperor of Austria nnd King of Hungary, Francis Joseph 1., whose anniversary fell on August the 18th, there was a solemn high mass celebrated at Sr. Patrick's Cathedral yesterday at 11 a.m. The Austrian National Anthem was played by the organist before and after the service.
