E. Viekermau, District Kugineer, wrote re the Council's request to have the fences moved back along the Bench road frontage of the old Admiralty J louse property, that he had recommended the head office to have the work done.—The letter was received. License Fees The Town Clerk, Grey Lynn, wrote asking for the borough's proportion Of the license fees received by the City Council from the Tramway Co.—The letter was referred to the committee. \Vater Supply.—ll. Atkinson wrote asking to have water supplied by' meter to his properly at TitirangL— The engineer recommended that, seeing Mr Atkinson had been so generous with the Council with respect to land at JS'ihotupu, he he granted free water for his lifetime.—The letter was referred n> the Streets Committee.

Complaints re uightsoil service; Inspector of Nuisances, report on the carrying out of contract: Committee recommeud that the contractor be notified to discontinue the use of Boats at the end of August, and to rigidly observe the terms of the contract. St. Andrew's Cnurch Uuildiug Committee, applying for water supply for hall and fire purposes: Recommended that a two-inch fire service and one-inch service for ordinary purposes be ' granted in terms of Waterworks Engineer's ' recommendation. E.
