SYDNEY BANKING RETURNS. SYDNEY, April 20. The banking returns for the quarter ending March are of a reassuring character. Compared with the December quarter, there is an increase of nearly £950,000 in deposits, practically all in current accounts, an increase of £675,000 in coin and bullion, and a reduction of nearly £850,000 in advances. The proportion of reserve to liabilities on deposits and notes stands at 3/10 in the £. WHOLESALE GROCERY FIRM'S"" AFFAIRS. SYDNEY, April 20. A meeting of the creditors of Messrs. Learmouth and Dickinson, the oldest wholesale grocery house in Sydney, was held to-day. The liabilities are £33,000, and the assets £10,000.
