And he carefully balanced a penny on his forehead, and placed the runnel in the opening of his waistcoat. "Oh, yes," said the guilelss one, as he calmly emptied ,the water-jut? into the funnel. I have seen that trick before." And the practical joker, who hid, of course, intended to do this to tht> innocent young man, gnashed his teeth.
