SAHARA-BOOM-DE-AY.

If!s Most Sublime Majesty Jacques I. of Sahara still lingers on in London, and lest the public should forgot his existence, he has had posted on the wall of the lobby of his suite at the Savoy Hotel a notice which all who run may read—if they are familiar with the tongue of France. For the benefit of those of your readers who. with insular pride of their race, have scorned to acquaint themselves with H.M.S.M. Jacques' mother tongue, I append a free translation thereof, so that they may not out of ignoranr-e injure His Majesty's feelings should occasion arise for them to communicate with him. KMPIRE OF SAHARA. NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC. It is, by these presents, made known to the public that from Ist January, 1904, the name of Jacques Lebaudywill be no longer employed, but will be replaced by that of JACQUES I. In effect His Majesty Jacques I. has completely renounced his family name in order to conform to the laws governing the Civil States of the Empire of Sahara. All letters address to His Majesty should be directed as follows:

TO HIS MAJESTY JACQUES L, Emperor of the Sahara. When His Majesty .is -within, his realms indicate hre residence thus: AT THE IMPERIAL PALACE OE TEOJA. When he is outside Ms dominions indicate simply the town where His Majesty has established his residence. As to any intentional refusal to give His Majesty his titles, such will be interpreted as an act of discourtesy, and will result in the breaking off of relation between His Majesty and the author (of the act). The numerous correspondents of His Majesty are requested to be careful to comply with the above regulations. December, 1903.
