CUTTING THE LINE.
JAPS DESTROY MAWCBURIAN BRIDGE. SOME HEAVT CAPTURES. LOXDON ? February 11. The Japanese cruisers Saintraen and Heyeu captured the Volunteer transport Ekaterinoslav near Fusan (South-east Core*), and also several whalers and a steamer belonging to the Chinese Eastern Hairway Lompanv, an adjunct of the Siberian railway. The "Daily Telegraph V Shanghai correspondent says the Japanese captured three of the volunteer fleet, with 2000 troops aboard, near Asan, on the west eoa=t of Corea. The -Japanese, in order to prevent the arrival of Russian reinforcements, destroyed a bridge on the Manehurian railway, which connects Port Arthur with the trans-Siberian railway. Opposition was offered by the Ruseians, who lost 30 killed. Russia has despatched 72 guns, firing 33 =-hot= per minute, thus the Far East artillery.
