HELENSVILLE SHOW.

This show, which was held ou Mr W. Downer's property, Helensville on Wednes- , day. was attended by between 300 and 400 people. It had rained heavily in the early part of the forenoon, and towards iniddav . there was every indication of a continued ; j wet day. At 12.30 p.m., quite unexpectedly, it cleared, and the remainder of the day was perfect. There is no doubt that the threatening aspect of the weather militated against the attendance.
