(Received 10.33 a.m.) BRISBANE, this day. A boy has been attacked by plagui in the city. FEDERAL PARLIAMENT. MELBOURNE, February 10. Mr Deakin's pronouncement on thi evils of the existence- of the three-party system has created keen interest among members of the Labour party, some of whom suspect a coalition between Mr Reid and Mr Deakin. A caucus of the party is called for February 22. FIRE IN BRISBANE. BRISBANE, February 10. Overell and Sons' large drapery emporium in Fortitude Valley has been des. troyed by fire. Nearly 200 hands' have been thrown idle. The damage is estimated at between £30,000 and £40,000. The Bank of New South Wales, adjoining, is badly damaged. Overell'3 building was insured for £ 7000, and the stock for £ 15,000, both in the Phoenix Company.
