The Federal Postmaster-General has decided to make a trial of the invention of Mr (jell oi New Zealand for increasing the speed in the transmission of telegrams. Mr Cell, of the New Zealand Telegraph Department, recently visited London to patent an important invention. ihe object, of which was to accelerate telegraphic messages. li/aglish experts then viewed the invention with a friendly eye. and Mr Gcll's invention was looked upon as suggestuig considerable possibilities.
