REFINED CRUELTY IN PARIS.
A number of men are now making a living in Paris by selling what they describe flfl llliputlan animate. They stop on the boulevards, open a little bag, and pull up miniature lizards, tortoises, and frogs, which, be* gin to run about oa the pavement, much to the amusement of the crowds. These mals, which are about the size of a three* penny-piece, are made of cardboard, and oa the under side are glued unfortunate flies, which supply the motive power. The question is being asked whether the Society fo* the Prevention ol Cruelty to Animals win step in.
