WELLINGTON, this day.
The Crown flaxmill, about six miles from Foxton, was burned last nigM. \ It was tae largest mill in the district. WAIHI, this day.
A fire occurred in the suburbs last night at ten o'clock, the residence of Mr G. Marsh, Mataura-road, being buW ed to the gix>und. Mrs Marsh had just time to get the children out, when the entire back of the building burst nto flames. A little of the furniture \fM saved. The,! insurances are £70 in $c Northern office ou the building, anil £40 in the N.Z. office on the furniture. Mr Marsh estimates his loss ait £150.
