AVONDALE JOCKEY CLUB'S SPRING MEETING.

The third and concluding day of the above club's spring meeting, to be held every prospect of another successful day's racing. The Welter is not easily picked. 1 have not seen some of tho candidates work, but, providing he is lit. j shall expect ILack and Gold to score, and I'oraugi and Orange and Blue to be prominent. Iv the Grandstand Handicap 1 fancy the chances of .Putty, Idas, and Dolores," and they may pass the posf as named. There are others in this race that cannot be overlooked, Iciassa ai.d Muskerdale among them, and I am looking forward to seeing a lirst class race. Half-mile races are ahvavs difficult -to sum up, but I know that Porangi. Cordon Rouge and Delia itose have a knack of going fust for a short course. The Pony Race may be won by Annoyed, who should hud Lottie the most difficult to dispose of; while the Publicans' Handicap, which is the lasi race of the day is another that will puzzle backers." but Agrapus and Alia Aka should have something to say at the finish.
