Messrs George Thomas and Co. report regarding the Wellington fruit market as follows: Apples: All descriptions are in capital demand. Local grown are in excellent request, dessert sorts selling from 9/ to 11/, and cooking 7/ to 10/ per case. Asparagus: Splendid demand at 2/ to 1/10 per bunch. Butter: Dairy, fair sale at S_d per lb. Cucumbers: Good sale for hothouse grown from 1/ to 1/d each. Cabbages: Good demand at 0/ per sack. Cauliflowers: Fair sale at 7/ to 8/ per sack. Carrots, 50/ per ton. Eggs: Market well supplied. The highest value ruling to-day is 10* d and lid per doz for well knowm brands. Green peas: The first shipment of the season realised 2/6 per peck. New potatoes: A consignment of flukes sold to-day at 2_d to 3Jd per lb Onions: Good samples are worth 7/ to 8/ per cwt, others from 4/ to 0/. Poultry: Fowls, 4/fi; ducks. 5/ to 5/6: geese, 0/; turkeys, 10/ to 18/ per pair. Pumpkins: Good sale at 0/ to 0/ per sack. Swedes. 50/ per ton Tomatoes: Hothouse grown S'"o in splendid demand at 1/ to 1/0 per lb. Walnuts: Fair sale at D_d per lb.
