PAEROA-WAIHI RAILWAY

DEPUTATION TO THE PREMIER.

WELLINGTON, Tuesday.

A deputation consisting of the Hon. Mr S. George and Mr H. F. Hemes, M.H.R., waited on the Premier this evening in connection with the PaeroaWaihi "Railway, laying before him a proposal to advance a sufficient sum to complete the line. The offer was made on behalf of certain gentlemen interested in the district. Mr Seddon stated that he would lay the proposition before Cabinet and obtain the views of the Ministry on the question. The rate of interest on the suggested loan was not mentioned.
