RUSSIA READY TO FIGHT,
PEKIN, July 20.
Diplomatists at Pekin consider that the greatest factor of the present situation ] 3 the increasing danger of a Russo-Jap-anese war in the spring. This might well be the result of the growing irritation of toe Japanese over Russia's activity along the Yalu Paver.
It is stated that Russia is willing to fight, since she is convinced of an easy victory if the other Powers do not interfere.
Russia's telegraphic communications between Autung and Youngampho has wen suspended owing to Corea's protest, * Pikloff contends that the timber concessions made by Corea to Russia carry «« right to build railways and telegraph ™es and open mining offices.
