Wool Sales. —Merinos and fine cross lireds from par to 5 per cent. Lelow opening rates; greasy, Id above.

LONDON, July 19.
The wool was good, and merinos sold well. Competition was eager, and top prices were realised for New Zealand crosshreds. The sales included Woolerina, 20ild; Hill River, lOJd; Talpon Pauikan, 7£d. To date 126.604 bales have been catalogued, an-1 116,128 sold. Silver is at 2/1.

The Bank of England returns show the stock of gold coin to be £34,475,000; reserve, £24,145,000; proportion of reserve to liabilities, 51.86; in circulation, £29,tf24,000; public deposits, £6,915,000; other deposits, £41.450,000; Government securities, £15,----843,000; other securities, £29,989,000. Three mouths' bins are discounted at '-'? per cent.
Consols, 92J. New South Wales 3} per cent,, are at 101; Victorian 1 per cents, at 105}: Pouth Austral hiii 3 per cents, at 92; Queensland 4 per cents, at 100, and 3 per cents, at 92-1; and New Zealand 4 per cents, at 109. Copper ox. spot, £50 10/; at tluee months £55 17/6." Tin, on spot, £123 5/; at throe months, £120 5/. Lead, £11 8/9. Iron, 52/3. Sugar, first marks, 9/7; German, 8/.
