OLD HAURAKI.

COROMANDEL, this day.

Messrs Jamieson and party of tributers in the Hauraki mine had a final clean up, which yielded bullion valued at £90. During the week McCauley and party got 181bs of picked stone, which they discovered in the old workings on Legge's lode at the adit level. Mr John Gold|worthy, manager of the Old Hauraki Company, reports having picked up No. 7 lode, which is from four to six inches in width. If it proves payable there will be a considerable extent of this lode intact above and below the level. The cross leader at the 160 feet level has shown a little gold. The manager thinks that they should be able to pick vrfp the Bunker's Hill four-inch leader from the 220 feet level; also that the lode the Bunker's Hill Company are now working with such good results will dip into the lona section of the Old Hauraki ground at that level. Under these circumstances it is necessary to drain to the 220 feet level as soon as possible.
