COUNTY NOTICES. ITEM AT A COUNTY COUNCIL Notice is hereby piven that the Waitemata County Council proposes to engage in the following undertaking, viz., to construct and maintain water races, as denned by "The Water Supply Act, 1891," and its amendments, for the supply of water to the Inhabitants of the Northcote Water Supply District. It is proposed to borrow the sum of £6000 for such purpose. The security proposed consists of— (a) The appropriation and pledge the works so to be constructed and the revenue therefrom. (b) An annually recurring special rate of 3d in the £1, to be made and levied upon the ratable values of all ratable property in the said Water Supply District. It is further proposed to borrow the said sum of £6000 from the Colonial Treasurer under the provisions of "The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1901." for a period of 41 years at 3J per centum per annum, and at the expiration of the said period the liability of the Waitemata County Council will cease without further payment. The provision for the repayment of the loan consists of the said appropriation pledge and special rate. It is also proposed to pay out of the loan the cost of raising it, and the interest for the first year. A Meeting of the ratepayers of the said Water Supply District to consider the proposals will 'be held at Bay View Hall, Northcote, on TUESDAY, the 7th day of Jjjly, 1903, at 8 o'clock p.m. Dated the sth day of June, 1903.
