Short Drunkards' List.—A first offender Avas fined 5/ for drunkenness, and Percy Smith, against whom there were a large number of previous convictions, was fined 10"/ or 48 hours' mentThe Craving for Drink. —James Muir, a prohibited person, was fined 20/ and costs for being found on the licensed premises of the Newmarket Hotel on June sth, He had been convicted this month at Onehunga for a similar offence.
