SAILORS' HOME.
The council of the Auckland Sailora' Home met last evening, and considered a set of regulations submitted by the committee. After much discussion they were deferred till the next meeting. Mr Coleman moved that the House and Finance Committee report on the cost of furnishing the top bedrooms similarly to those on the lower floor. Mr Ford humorously suggested that it might be left till the lock-out in the furniture trade had ended, when prices might come down. Mr Coleman urged the passing of the motion, and complaining that the great failing of the Sailors' Home waa the "putting off" policy. The motion was carried. Complaints vere raised of annoyance caused by a profane crowd which frequently congregated outside the home, and it was decided to ask the police to deal with the matter.
