COURSING.
A consignment, .of hares arrived from Peel Forest, Tiniaru, by the Westralia, and were taken out to Chevalier Park. When let out of the boxes the hares were proved to be strong and swift. These Avill not be-used next Saturday, but have been put in a separate enclosure, and will be let loose in the plumpton after the match on Saturday The ran for the £40. dog' stake, which takes place on Saturday, is causing great rivalry amongst dog owners, and everything is being done by the owners of the nark and the committee to give the public a good day's sport. In order to give the public an opportunity to witness this tnteiesting and ancient sport, the prices for admission have been fixed at the nominal fee of sixpence to ground and another sixpence to grandstand. ]t will be seen on referring to the advertisement in another column that conveyances veavt Queen-st. and Karanga-hape-road from 12 to 2 p.m., and the mil will start at 2 p.m. It will be a very interesting sight to see the new hares let loose after the match, and anyone who would like a good afternoon's sport ought to go out and see the run.
