WAIKATO NOTES.

HAMILTON, this day.
In the Magistrate's Court to-day Mr Northcroft gave judgment in two cases in which evidence was heard last month. In the case Corbrough v. Coates, claim £123 15/ for hire of an engine, £53 5/ was paid into Court as full satisfaction. Judgment wont for plaintiff for the amount claimed, and costs £7. In the case , Ja.ck v Oooinbes, claim .£49, amount due on contract for building a cottage and extras £7, plaintiff was non-suited on the first claim and got judgment for extras and £11 costs.
At the Waikato A. and P. Association meeting to-day the date of the next show was fixed for the 4th and sth November. It was decided to erect a shilling grandstand on the ground. Vacancha on the General Committee were filled as follows: —Tuhikaramea, Mr E. C. Shepherd; Morrinsville, Mr Thos Hinton; Ngaruawahia, Mr R. Duxfold; Hamilton, Mr M. Muleahey; Taupiri, Mr A. H. Waring.
