DIX'S GAIETY COMPANY.
Tbe change of programme provided at the City Hall on Saturday evening attracted a large and appreciative audience. Miss Emmie Smith appeared in a number of new ballads, and scored a great success. She was repeatedly recalled. Mr Frank Yorke delighted the audience with his witticisms and comic contributions, and while his turn was on the bouse was keDt in continuous laughter. "Queen •of the Earth." as «ung by Mr Frank Graham, proved a very acceptable number, and the popular tenor was loudly applauded. The Sisters Smith and the Gilardi Sisters in (heir song and dance contributions were enthusiastically received. A grand ballet entitled "D"S Froliqnes," supervised by Madame Ethel Clifford, was a feature of the entertainment She was assisted by Miss Beaty Gilardi and Miss Nellie Collins The other members of the company were also very successful. The entertainment will be repeated to-night.
