THE NEW SYNDICATE.
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.)
THAMES, this day.
It is that the syndicate which has purchased the Moanataiari and May Queen-Hauraki mines includes some most energetic speculative mining men of Auckland. Twenty-five shares have been allotted to as many individuals. A sub-committee is now arranging details for submission to the public. A good feature of the scheme is that preference for shares will be given to old shareholders on most favourable terms. This will be at least some consolation to the men who lost mcney by trusting to the management of the English directorate. Apart from the Moanataiari, I understand that no less than 90,300 shares of the May Queen-Hauraki are held iv the cplony.
