These three crews were locked together for the whole distance, and it was a splendid race, wheu, fifty yards from home, Wade spurted enough to win by two feet. Wade's crew, jumped away with the lead, which they maintained over the greater part of the distance, when Lovett's crew got level with him, and, after a great race home, a dead-heat resulted, with Bach's crew about a length away third. The dead-heat crews went straight out and rowed the race over aga.m, and after a ding-dong race Lovett's crew won by two feet. The wining crew were: Lovett (stroke), Clark^ Johnston, and Price.
