V.M.C.A. v. Wakefield.—This match resulted in a win for Wakefield by 24 runs, the following being the scores: Wakefield, 81 (It. Magee 42); V.M.C.A., 57 (Morris 10. .lack 19). Bowling for i.M.C.A., McCarthy took five wickets for 20, Edmonds two for 10, Yule two for 17, Danlis one for 2. Por Wakefield, Barr-Brown took four for 12, C. Robinson three for 11. Mackay two for 19.
Northern v. St. Albans. —This match resulted in a win for St. Albans by 10 runs. The scores are as follows: St. Albans, Ist innings. 89 (J. Walker 21. Brew IS. Harvey 15, Reese 12, Cappains 10 not out); Northern, Ist innings, 79 (Resteatix 24, Davis 16 not out, Rowland 13). Bowling for St. Albans narvey took four wickets for 28, Brow two for 0, S. Walker, two for 23, Skinner one for 25. For the Northern Howland too seven wickets for 41, Nicholson three for 13.
Briscoe and Co. v. Burns and Co. —The following, cricket match was played on the Ellerslie cricket ground between teams representing Briscoe and Co. v. Bowling for Burns and Co.. Stewart took two wickets for 17;~Stephenson, three for 2G; Jobson, three for 15. Bowling for Briscoe and Co., de Baugh took six wickets for 7 runs;. Day three for 10 runs. Burns and Co., second innings: Rose, 1; Stephenson, 1; Jobson, 0; Mountford, 8; Graham, 1: Forsyth, 5; Mueller, 8; Dickey, 0; Bagnall, 1; Brash. 0; Stewart, absent; extras, 3: total, 2.8. Bowling for Briscoe and Co., Carter took four wickets for 8 runs; Hoyes, five for 13 runs. Briscoe won by an innings and 20 runs. After the match both teams adjourned to the hall, where they spent a most enjoyable evening.
