WEATHER REPORT.

(By Telegraph.—Prest Association, £' WELLINGTON, this day. Wind: Heavy gale from' between northwest, west and south-west at all places northward of Napier and New Plymouth; from between north-west, west and south elsewhere. Barometer: Further fall everywhere, but rising at places south of Timaru and Quecnstown after ten hours; after 12 hours thence northward of Westport and Castle Point. Sea: Heavy on all Western Coast, also on Eastern Coast northward of East Cape and southwards of Castle Point. Tides: High on Western Coast of North Island and on East Coast north of East Cape; moderate thence to Castle Point; high thence southward; good on Western Coast of South Island. Rain may be expected in all parts of the country and much colder weather is probable, with rising barometer. Warning signals for northerly gales are exhibited at Cape Maria. Tiritiri, East Cape, Capes Campbell, Foulwind, and Farewell Spit will show signals for westerly gale to-morrow. A westerly gale signal is exhibited at Nugget Point Synopsis of the last 24 hours: Falling farumeter everywhere, lower to-day at Bluff than since November 28.
